Fruttaria – from its establishment until today

Fruttaria OOD was established in 2009 in Plovdiv and at first the company started with several shops for trading in fruit and vegetables.

In 2012, led by its ambition to grow and develop, the company focused on wholesale trading, positioning itself in the largest exchange market for fresh fruit and vegetables – Rodopi 95 AD in the village of Parvenets.

The company developed throughout the years and for a short time it managed to gain the trust of key suppliers and customers. With a carefully recruited young, motivated and well-prepared team, we are ready every day to respond to the needs of all our customers. Learning from and utilizing the experience of our European partners, we use an innovative approach in our work and have a tailored attitude to each customer.

We are successfully working with international and local chains of shops, as well as with institutions, kindergartens, public establishments, people.

As of today, Fruttaria has 5 refrigerating chambers, each with capacity of 200 tonnes of goods as the products available in stock are more than 700 tonnes and the items offered are more than 30 kinds.

We are direct importers of all goods we are offering, and we are working successfully with partners of more than 20 counties located on 5 continents.

The permanent analysis of the market, the constant communication with the customers and information from the very source – our suppliers, make us extremely flexible and reliable suppliers.

We take pride in having one of the best facilities for maturing and storage of bananas in the country and we rank among the leading sellers of bananas in the country, with sales of about 15-20 tonnes per day, as well as sales of all other types of citrus and exotic fruit.

Fruttaria is a company that continues to develop, led by its ambition to encompass an ever larger range of fresh and quality products, with no day-off because for us our work is pleasure.

Fruttaria Ltd. has partnerships with proven producers of fruit and vegetables only who can guarantee the uncompromised quality of their produce.

The leading producer of bananas in the world – the company Sabrostar located in Ecuador – is one of our most serious partners. The import of their bananas takes place by transportation of the containers by sea, and then we take care of the produce storage prior to it reaching our end customers. We also maintain very good business relations with other leading suppliers in Europe and thus we are able to offer our customers different varieties of bananas, of varied origin: Ecuador, Columbia, Costa Rika and Peru.
